DON'T BE FOOLED BY IMMIGRANT BREAKDOWN SCAM

FOREIGN crooks are posing as motorists with car problems before trying to sell dodgy goods to Good Samaritans who stop the help them at the roadside, police warned yesterday.


Forces across Scotland have been put on alert after a number of drivers reported being hassled by scam-artist immigrants.


The country’s largest force, Strathclyde Police, yesterday warned road users to be aware of the foreign fraudsters trying to make money out of their willingness to help strangers in difficulty. The bogus breakdown scam has been reported by several drivers who fell prey to it................
