    I must

I won't neccesarily agree with your POV - I'm most unlikely to follow 'rules' which usually leads to me getting 'ticked/kicked off these things - you won't see me using expletives but it could get 'emotional' at times............I don't want 'friends' - buddy lists and all that nonsense - I'm here to put forward my point of view - that's it!

My political leanings are centrist - most unfashionable I know in this, the era of autocracy - ah well!

    that's it - have a nice day!

    Welcome enginetorque,
This is a debating site and I would argue that you get out what you put in. As long as you treat other members with respect and accept that not everyone will agree with your pov then I see no reason why you would be "ticked off". Let me implore you however to familiarise yourself with the rules and stick to as many as you can.
We try to respect freedom of speech as much as possible so I am sure you will have fun expressing your pov!

OK - well respect is a two way street and I will endeavour to afford the respect due by those I engage with!

Rules - I NEVER 'do' rules - not on or off forums - now then that's not to say that I'll deliberately overstep the mark or flaunt said rules - but if I do and you decide I'm not worthy (or whatever) - fine!

Oh - sorry to be pedantic but it's a 'site' not a sight...............

    Hi
will you stop ressurecting old threads please?
    that is all.
So unproductive has conservatism been in producing a general conception of how a social order is maintained that its modern votaries, in trying to construct a theoretical foundation, invariably find themselves appealing almost exclusively to authors who regarded themselves as liberal. - F.A. Hayek
