Hi Tourmaline, and welcome to the Politics Forum!

Before anything else can I make a couple of quick points about posting in the forum. If you haven't read the rules yet, please do; you can find them here. Knowing what’s appropriate and what isn’t can save everyone a great deal of hassle! You might also find the Guide to Good Posting useful. Also please respect other people’s views; they mightn’t be the same as yours but that doesn’t necessarily mean they’re wrong, just different.

If you need help with anything at all, feel free to contact me, or one of the other moderators, via a personal message; details can be found here.

Perhaps you’d care to introduce yourself, which you can do here, or tell us a little bit more about yourself here.

An American with opinions on virtually anything eh, you'll enjoy some of the debates then

"Of all tyrannies, a tyranny sincerely exercised 'for the good of its victims' may be the most oppressive. It would be better to live under robber barons than under omnipotent moral busybodies. The robber baron's cruelty may sometimes sleep, his cupidity may at some point be satiated; but those who torment us 'for our own good' will torment us without end for they do so with the approval of their own conscience." -- C.S. Lewis

    Hi

That's great...how do you feel about teabags containing milk thistle?

My understanding of milk thistle is that it some potential health benefits, especially to those with liver disease. Provided that the ingredient is not harmful to the consumers I see no problem with using it. Although, being from the southwestern US I insist that my tea, in general, be of a traditional southern US sweet iced tea type (with the exceptional green tea from time to time).

Hello, Tourmaline. Opinions are personal, but they make for some good debates

I think that is why I am here. To discuss my viewpoints with those of others. Especially those whose viewpoint differs.

Tourmaline is one of my favorite minerals. Its composition is so complex that it has a great deal of different end members.

Typical Okie! Just kidding, Welcome aboard from another newcomer. What branch of service were you in BTW?
I wonder why the things that should be so simple, so natural... like loving someone and letting them see into your heart... should require so much courage?
