I'd like to add my own welcome to the forum too Paul. Although well on the right side of centre myself, I'm not terribly enthused by the prospect of a Conservative government; too stuck in the mud in many ways, but then again they've got to be a damn sight better than Labour!

The robber baron's cruelty may sometimes sleep, his cupidity may at some point be satiated; but those who torment us 'for our own good' will torment us without end for they do so with the approval of their own conscience." -- C.S. Lewis

I'm afraid you may be alone in your optimism that Cameron would do anything to improve things.

Welcome Paul. Although why anyone would want to install that peanut-faced, multimillionaire, Blair-lite, private schoolboy, and his hedge-fund cronies in Downing Street is beyond me!

    Hey Paul,

hopefully you'll find some good debates on here, and we'll see about Cameron, I'm hoping for a hung parliament or a 'government of none of the talents' as it may be seen

Ooops, looks like I'm alone in wanting fine Mr. Cameron thrust into the helm of No. 10.

Had to laugh at that though!

But as a previous poster put, it had to be better than this broken government, and certinally better than Nick (Norman) Clegg and his cronies.

Getting prepared to be shot down again
