Hi Ron, welcome to the forums, one of the mods should drop by shortly with an official welcome. Interesting religion, we only have a couple of devouts on the forum, and I'd never even heard of Baha'i until I read your post. I think you'll find it's a friendly, if quite lively, forum.

Thanks for the welcoming note, DCFG53. I hope to drop in occasionally in these middle years(65-75) of late adulthood as some human development psychologists call the years from 60 to 80--and old age(80++), if I last that long.-Ron in Tasmania

Wow Ron, that's quite a cv you have there, I'm sure you will find lots of discussions you'll want to contribute to (correct us abouthttp://www.freesmileys.org/smileys/s...basic/wink.gif ).
So... that official welcome DCFG mentioned basically is just a mod pointing you in the direction of the rules and guidelines etc. and saying if you have any queries please do not hesitate to contact either myself or another mod (we're in black ^ ^ because it's slimming) by private message.
    Welcome aboard!

Hi Ron, and welcome to the Politics Forum!

As Opinionated has done the formal welcome, I'll just add that it's certainly an interesting looking bio and that I'm sure that you'll enjoy the debates As Op says, if you have any problems or queries about the forum, contact one of us Mods by PM.

Incidentally, I went on a guided tour round the Baha'i temple in Delhi a couple of years ago - a fascinating building, designed to look like a giant lotus flower and finished in white tiles the same way the Sydney Opera House is.......

Thanks Opinionated and Midas. I assume you both know another quote along a similar line from George Bernard Shaw: "The trouble with socialism is that you have to go to too many meetings."

I do indeed know it, and a very apt quote too with your background in organisational behaviour

    You're hired.

Oh, sorry, thought it was a resume

    Seriously though, welcome aboard.
I wonder why the things that should be so simple, so natural... like loving someone and letting them see into your heart... should require so much courage?
