Hamas/Fatah and Israel

As most people interested in this thread will know, tensions in the middle escalated again lately after the Hamas take over of the Gaza strip. Many people try to find reaons and solutions to this, International governments give aid to Fatah, Israel stop trade into Gaza crippling the industry in the territory and ceasing any trade(forcing 70,000 people into un-employment), pushing the people into near starvation and increasing anti-israli ideology within gaza and rather than forcing an uprising perhaps strenghthing Palestinian resolve on the matter. The israli approach to Palestinian politics has often escalated if not caused the issues in the region and given the psychology of the region and its inhabitants only lengthend any confrontation. Is it fair to make the Gazan people suffer for a crime which was never commited in the first place and should Israli policy be the prime factor in the lives of palestinian nationals?? NO. Would it not be nice for once to let the situation resolve itself? Perhaps allowing Hamas control of Gaza and a re-union of the two parties rather than escalting the confrontation. Obviously certain Hamas policies would not make this an attractive idea to israel but maybe it is time for a shift of priority and a shift of attitudes towards certain faction in the middle east.

Any comments on this discussion are welcome Enjoy folks.

p.s any off topic points wil be flamed into oblivion.
