This Test has only one question, but it is a very important one. By giving an honest answer you will discover where you stand morally.
The Test features an unlikely, completely fictional situation in which you will have to make a decision.
Remember that your answer needs to be honest, yet spontaneous.
Please scroll down slowly and give due consideration to each line
The Situation
You are in London and there is chaos all around you caused by a hurricane.
There is flooding of biblical proportions.
You are a photo-journalist working for a regional news paper, and you are caught in the middle of this epic disaster.
The situation is nearly hopeless
You are trying to shoot career-making photos
People and objects are swirling round in the water, some being swept away
Nature is unleashing all of its destructive fury
The Test
Suddenly, you see a man in the water
He is fighting for his life, trying not to be taken down by the debris
You move closer, and realise that the man looks familiar
You suddenly realise who it is!..It is Gordon Brown
You notice that the raging waters are about to take him under for the last time
You have two options:
You can save the life of Gordon or you can shoot a dramatic prize-winning photo documenting the death of one of the country's most powerful men!
The Question
Would you select high contrast colour film or would you go with the classic simplicity of black and white?
.
.
Absolutely I'd go with B&W! Far more dramatic.
I wonder why the things that should be so simple, so natural... like loving someone and letting them see into your heart... should require so much courage?
If I am in the middle of this disaster two things spring to mind: I am a ****ing terrible journalist about to die. and I am hanging onto a camera that is completely ****ed.
Even if you shoot in colour Gordon Brown always looks like he's in B&W anyway.
Democracy is the recurrent suspicion that more than half of the people are right more than half of the time.

"If we're going to have a police state, at least orgainise it properly!"
Guy Outside the Chilcott Enquiry as he was led away by police for causing a 'disturbance' (thanks to LA I now know his name is Michael Culver)
Id go to the nearest abandoned Offie and loot/ liberate a bottle of bollie to celebrate such a momentous occasion, i would not take a photo as a photo cannot do justice to the such wonderfull sights as waterfalls, rainbows and the painfull death of an evil totalitarian scumbag like Hitler or Gordon Brown, to have witnessed such a Joyous occasion would suffice, forget the money and the fame, just give me the joy!!!!
OK so here's what I would do before saving his life (you rotten lot he's just a man), I would ensure a no holds bar interview and full photographic access to the mans final days in power, rescue him and take a high contrast colour photo of a soaking wet and dripping - imagine the caption competition!
