Could Diane Abbott be the next Leader?

The latest polls are tipping Diane Abbott, MP for Hackney and Stoke Newington as the nest leader of the Labour Party and it seems that most of those polled who favour her are Tories and LibDems! Could this be the first black woman Labour Party leader do you think?

Diane Abbott tipped to win Labour leadership race | Mail Online
I saw that in the mail too, she is hardly 'tipped to win" if she polled so incredibly low by labour supporters. Believe it or not, tories and lib dems don't get to vote in the labour leadership election..

Know your enemy and all that It helps me understand why some people think how they do.

It amuses me how they complain about the moral degradation of society blargh..blargh..blargh and then use every opportunity to publish pictures of the 17 year old Miley Cyrus in a bikini!

That would be very welcome news for the long suffering British people. If Labour are lucky enough to win under MS ABBOTT (I take it that"s the title she wishes) they might be re-elected by June 2300. That would suit me very nicely - I will be a sprightly 240 years old!

I wonder why the things that should be so simple, so natural... like loving someone and letting them see into your heart... should require so much courage?

Quite right! Hit the wrong button. I realised that just after I posted it. However, there could be a case for reincarnation.

    Hi,,
surely pictures of Miley Cyrus for leader of the Labour Party and Diane Abbott in a bikini

The Daily Mail is soooo much more informative upside down!

    (WHO is Miley Cyrus?)

The Reallllly sad thing is if Diane Abbott had been leader of the Labour party for the 13 unlucky years we would not have had an economic illiterate as chancellor and we wouldn't be Ģ3Trillion in debt!

I regret YOU are going to have to pay it off as I haven't got enough change!

    Regards,
    Greg_L-W.

Sadly I do know who Miley Cyrus is but who is this Abbott woman? She obviously needs to get her own reality TV show to up her poularity if she is running for leadership

    Hi,

she has an unreality show, does that help?
She apears in a programme Andrew Niel does to give balance - she is about as wide as he is tall so no one can say the BBC is unbalanced.

She is a really rather nasty racist who suffers from xenophobia and is so insecure she eats a huge amount and has terrible hangups about being black.

Of course the Tories and their Lib Dem glove puppets would talk of something as ridiculous as Diane Abbott as PM. I've regularly watched her on the politics programme. She comes across as an attention seeking waffler who's doing very nicely thank you from her appearances. Her contributions compromise of incomprehensible incoherent ramblings for which she no doubt receives an undeserved fee.

Alongside her on the couch is Michael Portillo who would have probably made the the most principled Tory Prime Minister in years. His calm demeanour and his delivered logic makes her look pathetic.

I largely agree. Her standing as leader of Labour is surely nothing more than a publicity stunt to further benefit her own interests, and can not be taken seriously.

The sooner Labour elect a new leader, surely it must be David Milliband!, the sooner Labour can try to perform as a responsible and effective opposition. The Conservative and Liberal Democrat leadership are demonstrating their principles and integrity by putting the country's interests above personal and party political interests. I hope that Labour with a new and hopefully principled leader will soon start to do the same.

this isn't a public vote it's for labour party members.

My opinion is that Harriet Harman should stay as leader, but if she doesn't want to lead.

She is a great speaker though
