    Today's polls have Lib-Dems and Labour on level pegging

    BBC News - Poll tracker: Interactive guide to the opinion polls

    Source: Poll of polls

    Conservative 33%
    Labour 29%
    Liberal Democrat 29%
    Other 9%

    Translated into seats using the BBC seat calculator this pushes the result deep into hung parliament territory;
    Labour: 285 (largest party but 41 seats short of a majority)
    Conservative: 244
    Liberal Democrat: 92
    Other: 29

    I wonder if LA still thinks that FPTP is the best voting system? Good to hear, anyway. The Lib Dems are slowly becoming a proper political force, and even with the anti-democratic system that we have, they may be able to make the introduction of Google Page Ranking a condition of their supporting whoever they choose in a hung parliament.
