Help wanted to launch a new party

I've just joint the site with one intention:

I want to start a new party called 'None of the Above' (NOTA). I need help from like minded people so that 'None of the Above' will be an option for the electorate on every ballot paper in every Constituency at the next General election.

I was hoping such an option would be made available by our political master but the political classes, of all persuassions, have failed Joe Public.

I've come to this forum with a similar intention, but perhaps a more constuctive one (no offence intended). Is your issue truly that you think there should be a NOTA option on ballot papers, or that you are feel there isn't a party you can vote for for with a good conscience?

If the latter I'd be interested in talking more... I feel jaded by the selection of one-issue parties, or established morally-corrupt parties that feed us the same empty politics just with a different colour on the manifesto.

I don't believe in NOTA though, sorry.

with the deposit system in a general election it would cost you over £300,000 an election harry.

clearly there is no problem with resurecting old threads IF someone currently wants more information.

Clearly burrying material is no help atal as it leaves people recovering the old ground rather than reasoned and constructive new thought on what may well be old ideas.

Does anyone know how the original poster got on with his efforts?

I was rather busy with the practicalities of INDEPENDENT Leave-the-EU ALLIANCE which actually did remarkably well in terms of interest all be it we did not achieve a great deal - though we did achieve enough to believe it was worth keeping the concept going.

I personally do not believe in the rather nihilistic concept of NOTA as it presents no alternative and I would therefore advocate standing for or voting for The INDEPENDENT Leave-the-EU ALLIANCE.

IF you don't have a candidate in your constituency why not gather some friends and contact us to arrange how to move forward and nominate a candidate.

IF there just is no one able to stand then we advocate you do NOT spoil your ballot paper by wasting it on some venal same old, same old self serving Party hack - just write on your ballot: Leave-the-EU

Surely that is better for Britain and better for you than NOTA!
