| 10 Most Powerful People in Congress Bush may be the President of the country, but, he does not control and run everything as some people would want you to believe. In fact, if you look at the most powerful men/women in Congress, you will see that they are all democrats. http://www.politibyte.com/modules.php?name=News&file=article&sid=57 Sure, you can blame Bush for a lot of things, but these guys are not immune for some of the blame for our current mess.
