The writers strike mucked everything up - series which may have got momentum for a second series (like Daisies) where shown in two halves so didn't get the viewing figures. It also explains series two of Heroes being quite poor and whichever Desperate Housewives series. My own personal lament was the demise of the bionic woman (no Buffy, no Charmed, no kick-ass girls).

The robber baron's cruelty may sometimes sleep, his cupidity may at some point be satiated; but those who torment us 'for our own good' will torment us without end for they do so with the approval of their own conscience." -- C.S. Hey I know this is waaay waaaybut, "quite wierd"? Why is that exactly? Most TV programmes are rubbish, Pushing Daisies was at least something different, quirky, great cast, and funny. I think given the chance it could have gained more commercial success, but instead it'll be replaced by Generic Cop Show #9 or CSI: DisneyWorld or some other such crap.

Just read this thread in its new home (Boo! Albion, moving stuff about) and I thought just for clarity I should say that this programme is called Pushing Daisies.
Not 'up'.
There is no 'up' in the title.
Hope that clears that one __
