    New Poet Laureate's First Gig

    Carol Anne Duffy, the new poet Laureate, has published her first poem in the my loony left rag-of-choice The Guardian. Its subject? Politics.

    What ya think, powerful stuff or pretentious nonsense? I'd lean towards the former but I'm not sure what real influence this postion has these days.
