I am trying to gather some good songs of the big band genre.
I am a big fan of Frank Sinatra, and any style similar to him is good - So, any ideas?

LA, ask me anything :P
Sinatra is a good entry point, but it's fantastic once you branch out. First points of call:
All Sinatra.
Robbie Williams, Swing When You're Winning. (I CANNOT RECOMMEND THIS ALBUM ENOUGH)
Glen Miller (vocal/instrumental recordings depending on what you like)
Sammy Davis Jr, any Rat Pack albums - look for duets between him a Sinatra/Dean Martin
Obviously Michael Buble is a fantastic singer with a brilliant band but not everyone likes him, it's very personal taste.
For instrumental big band try Harry James, Glenn Miller and Louis Armstrong.
If you fancy branching out into other types of jazz, try some Nina Simone or Ella Fitzgerald.
Fred Astaire did some really good lesser-known recordings with big bands.
Maybe look into Stevie Wonder/James Brown if you fancy going down the funk or soul route.
Enjoy!
