    Who are your favourite contemporary crime writers?
    My top 5 are:
    Henning Mankell
    Reginald Hill
    Sjowall and Wahloo
    Graham Hurley
    Stephen Booth

    Any recommendations would be gratefully appreciated.

    I like:
    Jonathan Kellerman- terrific psychological thrillers

    Michael Conelly- Really does tell a decent tale

    Brian Freeman - Read "Immoral " If you get a chance- top draw, imo.

    Thanks CS, I'm up to date with Michael Connelly but I do prefer the British and European stuff. I'm going to give the Brian Freeman book a go though, thanks again.

    No problem. I'll definitely look into your recommendations too, can never have enough good books I say! Yeah, that Freeman one I just loved from start to finish.

    Best crime book I've ever read, HOMICIDE: A Year on the Killing Streets by David Simon. Its brilliant.
