Diversify or Die:

Diversify or die: equality chief's stark message to broadcasting industry

A continuing failure to reflect ethnic diversity by "overwhelmingly white" broadcasters such as the BBC and Channel 4 must be urgently addressed if they are to survive in the digital age, according to a study.

Diversify or die: equality chief's stark message to broadcasting industry | Media | The Guardian

Stinks of NuLabs multicultural PC agenda.

Should the government be involving themselves in broadcasting issues when there are more obvious and immediate concerns to address?

Should the BBC and channel 4 succumb to government pressure?

Channel 4 have agreed to appoint a head of diversity - Is this role open to all?

"In more than a quarter of a century as a TV producer I have never seen the industry more ready and willing to change and embrace diversity, not least because everyone knows that if we don't we're headed for oblivion," - T. Phillips

Have they asked the majority what they want? Who is everyone?? Oblivion is a strong and emotive word to use, don't you think??

I'm usually pretty open minded about these types of things but this has rattled my cage.
