| Row over 'racist' PM statue A new statue of former Prime Minister David Lloyd George was at the centre of an extraordinary row last night amid allegations that he endorsed the 'right to bomb n>igger*s'. The sculpture of the Liberal politician, viewed as one of the greatest premiers of the 20th century, will be unveiled by the Prince of Wales and Duchess of Cornwall in front of the Houses of Parliament today. But Nobel Prize winning playwright Harold Pinter and a string of other anti-war campaigners have condemned what they describe as the 'utterly disgraceful' commemoration of his legacy............ Row erupts as statue is unveilled of 'racist' PM Lloyd George | the Daily Mail I think the lefties/anti war campaigners are picking on the wrong guy here. This man was one of the main reasons WW1 ended when it did and he did a hell of a lot for the working classes of this country.      |
