The media, along with others within the ‘establishment’ have sought to make mischief over comments made by a BNP member, Nick Eriksen, on a blog site about 3 years ago.

Even though the comments were taken out of context and made years ago, the BNP still felt that it would not be appropriate for the member concerned to remain as a BNP candidate in the May elections.

An honourable approach to a problem, and one that the Westminster party’s would do well to emulate. The BNP reaction also stopped the hoped for bandwagon from rolling, much to the annoyance of our political enemies.

Yet compared to other comments, that have not elicited the same sort of attempted media frenzy, the comments of Nick Eriksen can only be considered (without condoning them in any way) as minor. Very minor indeed.

We especially wonder why, Charles Clarke, M.P. for South Norwich, in his tirade during Prime Minister’s Questions in the House yesterday, has not expressed similar outrage over the following outpourings of hate! We invite him to explain himself to our readers. How about it Mr Clarke?

A report posted on Islam Watch, a site run by Muslims who oppose intolerant teachings and hatred for unbelievers, exposes a prominent Islamic cleric and lawyer who supports extreme punishment for non-Muslims — including killing and rape.

A question-and-answer session with Imam Abdul Makin in an East London mosque asks why Allah would tell Muslims to kill and rape innocent non-Muslims, including their wives and daughters, according to Islam Watch.

“Because non-Muslims are never innocent, they are guilty of denying Allah and his prophet,” the Imam says, according to the report. “If you don’t believe me, here is the legal authority, the top Muslim lawyer of Britain”, ‘Anjem Choudary’.
