| Galloway blames BNP for failing party Respect Mp George Galloway has blasted people who allegedly disrupted a political meeting due to be held in Swansea. The former Labour MP, who once famously met with Saddam Hussein, said he was dismayed that his address to supporters in Swansea had to be switched from Trallwn's Four Seasons Club to Swansea University. He now plans to write to the chief constable after allegations that a member of the British National Party threatened to damage the club if the meeting went ahead. The claim has been strongly denied by the BNP. Mr Galloway told 200 supporters at the university: "We will not be hounded out or intimidated in any part of this country. "We are determined that this will be a free country." Respect Wales's steering committee member Jonny Jones said: "We were contacted by the owner of the Trallwn Four Seasons Club where we were originally going to be holding the meeting. "He said he had been contacted with threats that people from the BNP were going to smash up the club if the meeting went ahead." But Four Seasons owner Colin Payne denied he had received a telephone call from the BNP. "Respect are the ones who put it into my head about the BNP. "I didn't have a phone call from them." BNP spokesman, Dr Phil Edwards, said: "The BNP don't do things like that. "This allegation by Galloway is another attempt to discredit us. "They claim they were proud to disrupt a BNP meeting in Canterbury. "George Galloway and Respect and the Socialist Workers' Party are all part of the same thing. "It's not the BNP. We don't use violence." http://www.thisissouthwales.co.uk/di...pNodeId=161375 Seems like the BNP will become a target for all and sundry before the elections in May
