Muslims live as a good citizen in non-Muslim countries. Your over-indulgence in outward practices of religion-beard, purdah, frequenting mosques and using loudspeakers creates a sense of insecurity in minds of your neighbors. And they are right because you first opted for orthodox religion and then your children were roped in Terrorism. This happened in Kashmir, in rest of India and now in West. You are not a good Muslim because you are not a good neighbor. When you opted to live in India or when you settled in UK or USA, you preferred modern ways and now you have fallen back on same life you once rejected.
Go and live in a Muslim country and see what you face there. A Shia Muslim can not live as a Shia in a Sunni country.
