Could I ask why the 'New Posts' feature doesn't just display all the posts of the last 24 hours (like it used to)? I never use the 'New Posts' feature so I can't comment (instead using Quick Links and Todays Posts which does retain all the post from the previous 24 hours) This is something for admin to address.

Also I experienced being logged out when quoting months ago but it stopped and hasn't returned since, could it be something to do with your internet setup as this is what I assumed?

Thanks Tete. In my ignorance, I hadn't noticed the 'todays posts' link was still available. Thats much better.

Probably my internet settings or something to do with Norton. I'll leave it I think, its only a mild inconvenience, and I prefer to treat Norton like the anti-terror legilsation, just stay out of its way and assume its acting in your best interest (although most of the time it isn't).

It might be to do with a bug that was in the forum software as a number was known and hopefully resolved with an upgrade that occured on Monday morning.
