 2 Burnley Liberal Democrat councillors found guilty of vote rigging Two Liberal Democrat councillors have been found guilty of rigging a local election in Burnley, Lancashire. Mozaquir Ali, 44, and Manzur Hussain, 58, obtained more than 160 proxy votes in the 2004 local government elections. Preston Crown Court heard the men took advantage of an all-postal vote to ensure Ali's re-election in the Daneshouse with Stoneyholme ward.
