While the British government pulls the plug on the placing of official advertisements on the popular Facebook website, because they are worried some adverts might appear on pages of Facebook users who support the BNP, they have exhibited no such concerns over their Department of Works and Pensions (DWP) website, which regularly hosts sex-trade advertising!
Indeed the DWP’s Jobcentre Plus website displays advertisements offering jobs to out of work women paying £100 per hour working for escort agencies in Wales, Cornwall and Manchester and to make matters worse the advertisements appear to be orientated towards young women – resulting in one concerned charity to complain that they are “clearly helping women into prostitution”!
One Cardiff Government sanctioned advertisement reads: “Duties involve providing clients with a personal escort service in an unsupervised environment. Experience is preferred but is not essential. Duties will involve escorting and accompanying members of the public which may cause embarrassment to some people”! No doubt “on the job” training will be provided where required! Some “cash handling will also be involved”
