Exclamation Immigration: People no longer buying the “immigration is good for you” myth

Today’s Daily Telegraph carries a response from a representative of the Polish community in Britain to the news that immigration is of next to no benefit to Britain. The article begins:-

“Their lordships have spoken. Their 82-page report on the economic impact of immigration claims to cover all aspects of the influx into Britain, from the New Commonwealth to the New Europe. But searching through the morass of graphs and witness statements, I failed to find proper recognition of the current status of the ever-visible Polish workers within British society.”

The article may be found here.

However in response to this “immigration is good for Britain” inclined article, the following has been posted:-

“Mr Moszczynski

You appear to have grasped the wrong end of the stick. Polish people are fine, and are very hard working, nobody is saying otherwise.

Look at our government of the day for a few minutes and consider what they have done.

Following a secretive 50 year plan we arrive at the point of creating a federal European State. The new state is anti democratic; Britain is a democracy. We are signed up to the new EU state and are not given a say even on whether we want to end our democracy and be governed by committees. Polish people were not asked either were they?

What would your people decide were they to be asked? The French and the Dutch have already said no: But the EU does not accept No does it?..despotism.

Now this very small country, that is itself a small island off of the coast of the huge continent of Europe is being assaulted by millions of immigrants to the point our infrastructure is toppling. Were we asked if this was ok?…No.

What is not being said in the course of this furore over immigration is that most of the immigrants from the African continent and the lands to the north west are Muslims. This category of immigrant has been reported as being the highest users of our welfare system, so what sense is there in allowing them entry?..but beyond this there is a growing unease as to the wisdom of importing Islamic peoples.

This has been aggravated by US and EU meddling in serbia and the illegal DOI by Kosovo. The great majority of British people do not want the EU, and do not want ”Mass Immigration”, no group is isolated for special attention.

You know I still remember stories from members of my family that fought alongside the poles in the second world war, and so I know the polish are a generally good and valiant people, but ask yourself; would Poland welcome millions of people flooding into your country and taking the wealth out, having paid nothing into the country.

I think not. I don’t know if you can understand the growing bitterness of the British, especially in the south east, but you know I suspect that if you face the question honestly re: poland in the same position you will have to agree.

I will also just say that the Home Office figures released agree with the Lords committee findings, well, close. The home office came up with 58p, but by the time health tourism is factored in, and the increase of TB and HIV you will find that the UK has lost very heavily indeed.”

This is immediately followed by:-

“The only answer is to vote BNP. By the way, if the Daily Telegraph keeps printing this pro-immigration garbage I will stop buying it.”

Is the penny starting to drop we wonder?
