Hi,

The Politics Show which you can watch on line for a week at CLICK HERE

Covered the EUkip leadership hustings at Peterborough.

Jon Sopel starts the article at approximately 50 minutes into the programme with his arrival at Peterborough Station and as an aside just as he walked away it does look very like he has overlooked the fact that Malcolm Lord Pearson was emerging behind him - or so it seems.

Had I never been to a Labour, Plaid, Tory, AWB, Republican, Democrat or Nat meeting I would probably despair of any hope but honestly folks EUkip candidates and audience are not as odd as one might think - when compared with other political audiences!

Had Farage gone on National TV and said 'there is no credible candidate for the role of leader' one might have had some sympathy but that he thought that ANY of these characters could be described as a 'credible' candidate calls into question Farage's judgement and was soundly debunked by Jon Sopel.

Is it to be the BNP in Blazers or the BNP in Ermine & Blazers seems the only question with Alan Wood placed to be an honourable also ran, clearly Pearson, Batten and Nattrass all have, at least, their roots in racism and at worst current Islamaphobia and or Zionism.

That leaves Sinclaire as their only hope and I just have this fear there are not enough decent people in power in EUkip who would back her cleaning up the party and refusing to sit with the extremist racists and violent xenophobes of the Lega Nord or their sexually intollerant violence or the anti Jewish bretheren of Greece who form The EFD.

That Sinclaire would strenuously try to avoid being the EU's dupe I have no doubt but whether she would have the support to resist forming a Pan EU Political Party I doubt and as for the others I see no possibility!

Well if you haven't voted yet I believe you have only the chance of voting against the 3 extremists leaving only Alan Wood or Nikki Sinclaire.

Good luck!

Regards,
Greg L-W.
