UKIP in the South East

It appears UKIP is not doing that well in Farage's backyard.

It was amusing to hear how badly Farage reacted when he was told about the state of UKIP South East.

In 2002 UKIP South East was one of UKIP’s strongest areas. There were over 70 branches with hundreds of committed activists.

And now?

There are only 30 active branches.

It is interesting to note that 46 branches are listed on the UKIP website. So what about the other 16?

Some are phantom branches created to hoodwink the membership into thinking that UKIP is thriving. The others consist of just a handful of members too old or unwilling to campaign for the Great Nigel Farage.

In eight years UKIP South East has all but collapsed.

So much for the old argument that Nigel’s presence in the region would attract new members and support for the Party!

But why should Farage really care? He is on the EU Gravy Train for another five years. And when he finally ceases to be an MEP he can enjoy that fat EU pension.

Farage may claim to be anti-EU but we can assure you all that he is really looking forward to getting his grubby little hands on that pension - something that you helped pay for with your taxes.

And Marta Andreasen? She is busy promoting her latest novel and raking in all those lovely Euros!

is it surprising loyalty in the South East has all but collapsed - he had the dim and dishonest David Lott as number 2 on the MEP list but dumped him in the run up to election to bring in someone with some ability parachuting in Ashley Mote, who despite a period in the slammer for an ages old and politically ressurected claim of benefit fraud did more in his 5 years as an MEP than any 5 of EUkip's useless articles.

Then in the run up to the last EU election Farage did a knife job on his loyal Number 2 Steve Harris and parachuted in the liar cheat and utter fraud the Spanish novelist Marta Andreasen.

Consider Farage's loyalty to his long serving Political Adviser David Samuel Camps who he has recently unceremoniously dumped.

Then of course, having promised no EUkip elected member would employ family he betrays everyone and whilst telling no one salaries his wife to the tune of about £30K a year and even his office can't identify any work she does!

Why would anyone be loyal to Farage - just look what he did to attack Martin Hasslam, a loyal donor or both time and money to UKIP sordidly betrayed and lied about by Farage.

By the way JW I think Junius over estimates the number of real branches by quite a bit.

You can't face facts. UKIP is being led to disaster by a bent leadership. They couldn't even conduct a fair MEP selection process without rigging it. I have Piers Merchant's report on the subject. He wanted an enquiry into the whole selection process. Farage ignored him.

rather than make a fool of yourself desparately trying to smear those who provide the facts perhaps you would care to itemise the facts you did not understand or require clarification of.

Greg, stop with the 'fact's' already! You never provide any proof that anything you say is genuine. None of it matches with any of the reality I'm aware of, all just made up mumbo-jumbo.

interestingly on the ajoining thread you complained of no facts yet now you complain of too many.

That you are unable to support your contentions with sourced facts is hardly convincing when you dishonestly lie and claim the facts and sourcing I provide is but 'mumbo jumbo'.

Are you not embarrassed by your inability to make your point backed by either fact or detail.

I only meant for you to stop calling your 'nonsense' - 'facts' - it's an inaccurate description that I'm getting tired of hearing. It's like you have some special button on your special keyboard that makes everything you write factual only for the 'fact' that it came from your grubby little keyboard of hatred.
