    Its quite amusing how the Conservative pretend to have the electorate's best interests in mind when they keep suggesting an election is called. If the Conservatives poll lead had realy been affected by the expenses scandal, then there would be no way Cameron would be calling for an election.

    I'm wondering whether a written constitution with caveats whereby the public may initiate no-confidence without the direct involvement of the politicians may be a step forward. It would at least reduce the possibility of a party perfecting their pre-election banter, then proving turncoat as soon as they're assured of 5 years in the hotseat.
