Is it fair to be a taxpayer?

I found the answer to be no over the past year.

I lost my job last year, unfairly, but in line with probationary legislation as that I have no right to speak up for myself when presented with reasons that equated to lies in order for me to not be confirmed in my post.

It was blatantly apparent that because of the recession and too many people of my position in the workplace, that I was first in line to be dismissed due to the rising number of job cuts upcoming with the then recent upheaval of local authorities.

That aside, I was able to claim contribution based Jobseekers Allowance for 6 months... But only 6 months.

Now, I have been working and paying tax in the UK for the 14 years of my life since leaving full time education in Scotland and found out that after getting 6 months JSA, I did not qualify for anything further because my partner works for more than 20 hours per week.

I agree that my partner does earn a decent salary, but in a family with two children, a mortgage and my partner was left with a large sum of debt from a previous ex-husband... This does not equate to much once the outgoings have been counted out.

We are constantly running out of money to buy food, our social lives are non existent, I feel like I am a free lodger in the home and I have never once asked my partner to subsidise me until I find work, which has been almost impossible in my line of work and due to the continual job cuts being made around my area of Britain at the moment.

My point is, there are those who do not wish to work. Those who abuse the benefits system whether born in this country or those who have come here to seek out a 'better life'. Those who know that having many children will support their free housing, expensive lifestyle and unwillingness to lift a finger to pay the taxes that the rest of us have over the years. Those who are allowed to have four wives and bring them here to have more children to equal more benefits while still selling items from their own home to avoid working a job that pays tax... And yes they are out there. I have worked with them in previous job roles.

So why do I, as a legal, born and bred, previous taxpayer, find that I am entitled to less than those who do not conform to the daily life of the once hard working Brit?

Because I am one of them and it seems over the years, we are continually treated worse than anyone who wants to take the money i have earned and paid to the government for their own greedy needs while I sit destitute as a single citizen, waiting for whomever is in power to finally turn the tables and take care of those who are deserving of care and benefits.

Funny the bit about immigrants, because you don't get any benefits until you have been here for a number of years, unless of course you are an asylum seeker.

Under this government, Malky, you might be best to split up from your partner. Then you can claim JSA again and you will be better off.
It is the way the government discourage togetherness.
They have a max of 132 days left in their ivory towers, the morally bankrupt gang.
Jesus said in Luke 13:5, "unless you repent you will all likewise perish"
