Since Tony Blair isn't running, Nick Clegg hates us, and Gordon Brown is a dour loser, why Davis Cameron is best for the U.S.

I don't think it makes much difference who the government is in the UK to Obama.
He thinks he rules the world, other countries leaders are merely a minor inconvenience to him.

Fortunately, the world now seems to be seeing through his initial effervescence and now realise it was a dangerous damp squib, opening up the USA to attacks from enemies who see it as weak.

ALL American Presidents think they rule the world. They carry the big stick whether they want to admit it or not. Some just speak more 'softly' than others.

As to the rest, I still think the jury is still out. As for A'stan, I think his and McChrystal's policy may be best, Pacify cause the Afghanis have never and will never be subdued. It just ain't gonna happen unless you're willing to kill every man, woman and child in the country. That's just their clannish warrior nature. Everyone on God's green earth has tried since Alexander, without success, so secure what you can and negotiate the rest.

As for terrorism, logically it is impossible to stamp out terrorism, domestic or foreign; all you can realistically do is try to stay on top of it and minimize it.

Since the Second World War, there was that minor power known as the British Empire before that.
The only thing that will be of concern is how the primeminister gets on with Europe so the American can maintain friendly relationhips, allies and trade.
