    Change in the voting system...

This is the first time I've ever really got into the whole election thing but the more I look at it the more interested I get and the more annoyed I generally feel about the way the whole thing comes together. During the campaign i've had these candidates knock at my door and had full on "discussions" regarding my views and parties manifestoes, one even asked me to help out.

Anyway All the way through this campaign there have been talks of "change" but will there actually be any. If you look at the votes (totals) its so badly geared towards the big 2/3 its a joke. If you were to just flip the whole thing very simply without looking at what this would actually affect etc the results are very different...

All i've done below is take the overall seats availible 652(?) diveded that by 100 then times'd that by the percentage each party has got in total votes. There are a couple of flaws etc.. but you can get my point. How is it fair that a party with only 42k votes (Independent Community and Health Concern) can get a seat yet 8 other parties with anything from 64k to nearly a million votes don't get 1 single seat

As it is these statistics are flawed as people either don't vote because they feel it wont make a difference, can't be bother or vote for another party to try and stop anther getting in. Either that or they are illegal and shouldn't even be here or they are in prison and the EU tell us they should be able to vote but thats a whole different issue.

what are everyones thoughts on this...

Another thing that annoys me are these opinion polls, they get 1000 people from where ever and ask them a few questions then suddenly thats the opinion of the entire country and we are all going to be voting Lib dem.

With the digital age well and truely here, why dont they offer a live "debate", but with all parties answering questions, but with the public not knowing whos answering what and how. Then at the end once you've done your "press Red for A, Yellow for B" etc.. you are paired agaisnt a party that best suits you rather than having to choose form the "big 3".

Bit much for my first post but hopefully its not just me that feels like this
