Apparently Downing Street refused to provide a spokesman to appear on the BBC's Question Time last night because Campbell was representing the Labour Party. They had requested that he be replaced by an elected member of the Labour Party but the BBC refused so the Coalition did not send anyone. Now what's that all about?

if they were trying to capitalise on Campbell's unpopularity then they screwed up
Campbell has been taken off Adam Bolton's Christmas card list.
The argument that he is not elected does not really work with QT as there are often lay people on the panel. Campbell, is, however a confrontational character, he creates a good argument, but tends to deflect too much to actually answer any questions that are properly put to him.
Jesus said in John 3:17, "For God did not send His Son into the world to condemn the world, but that the world through Him might be saved."
