I don't imagine that it will contribute in any way to resolving a dispute that Unite and certain of the cabin crews seem determined to prolong, despite jeopardising their own and others' jobs, and the very future of BA as an independent airline.

However I certainly think it is BA's business interests to take this step, as it is in the interests of most of their non-striking staff, their passengers, and their shareholders. By doing so they will make both the dispute and the strikers increasingly irrelevant, rendering a cure superfluous.

Judging from the cabin crew website I would venture to suggest the vast majority now intend to ignore the next strike call. Seems that communication between union and members is fragile and ineffective causing great misunderstandings on what is now being offered?
