Facebook is just a website, it does not rule the world.
It might close down tomorrow, who cares?
Jesus said in John 3:17, "For God did not send His Son into the world to condemn the world, but that the world through Him might be saved."

perhaps there doing what the BBC seems to have done, that is turn his execution into a media event, his death is now an Internet event, it can work both ways.

While certainly tasteless, you can't really force them to take down the page. As arguably they could ask other such pages be taken down, that offend the current Government's sensibilities. I wonder how long a BNP page would last in such an environment?

I don't understand part of this comment, fubar. The man murdered, then killed himself and you call it an execution. Uh? Have I missed something? Seems it was Moat was doing the executing.

If you ever managed to see the photos even the photes seemed or live tv you might understand to many it looked like a staged event, with blow by blow account. This is the first time I have seen such live media attenton for such an event as this,You might be used to this sort of thing but were not.

I personally think rather than being staged , the media and police used the crisis to get some points across:
    1. Promote gun control
    2. Demonize steroids , they want everyone chemically castrated near enough.
    3. Showcase police state aparatus , without revealing the use of satellites. as with cops on tv give people the view the government is invincible. Shows you how difficult it is to catch "terrorists" if they arent working for your agents.
    4.Showcase new unnauthorized tazer cartridges.
5.Distract from important financial news about imminent job losses and national debt figure including imminent liabilitys and toxic assets released to coincide with moat crisis.
6.A little victory for the scroats , this is a little victory capable of placating a large number of "scroats".
7.Notice lack of media coverage of moats dead victim , the media has put him on a pedastall by not talking about the identity of the murder victim , i believe deliberatly.
    8. Demonize social networking , the moat tribute page will be presented to mps deciding a future censorship of the net. It will provide evidence of net inhibition and subsequent incitment to negative action or NIAITNA which is a real phenomenon admittedly and would need looked at even by a fair government , but is handy to shut down people like me.
Fubar , we need a website and we need to document the behaviour placement and demonization.

Admitting that I've only, so far, had the time to look at the grainy night vision (cheap **** Gen 1 or 2 it looks like) video of him killing himself; I fail to see how anyone can make any statement from it as to what happened. I will say, that I saw no "light bloom" you would normally see on night vision optics when a weapon is discharged. Also my audio just went tits up, so no help there either. Will try to look at it tonight, at home.

Fortuitously the original poster has taken the page down!
