This is a outrage when times are so tough, this is exactly what Cameron was talking about before the election, how some department had just been furnished.

I assume that you mean Leicester City Council is giving 54 ipods to it's own councillors?

I do agree that on the face of it, it seems a waste of council tax payers money, they could have bought slimline laptops for a much cheaper cost per unit and how they work out that it will save them £90,000 in printing costs is odd to say the least. To get that figure each council member would have to be spending around £150 per month on printing?

Still they are cutting their staff by 1000, be interesting to see how many of those jobs are the top paid ones though.
