United Kingdom Politics Having secured a third term, we will fulfil our promise to renew our country and take Britain forward to a better future not back to a failed Tory past. Our continuing success depends on our continuing to pursue a new Labour agenda as a modern progressive party. We will focus on three crucial areas: the economy, modernising public services, tackling crime and asylum; building on what we have achieved to make Britain better since coming to office in 1997

We don't get a say!

Daventry is a small but growing market town right in the middle of england, Our council used to work from a couple of portacabin type buildings years ago, suddenly they had a building so big and so radical that even Charles made a comment on it, must have cost millions, now with council houses all gone the workload of the council should be less, I never did understand how they justify going from minimal to maximum overkill, then a new sports / leisure centre popped up over the road from the new building, the road became a no through traffic route.

Now we are getting a huge revamp of the town centre costing millions, and a marina!!! Yes a marina, strange since we don't have a canal!

Just about everyone I've spoken to does not want it, not the town expansion, the new housing estates or the marina! The council just don't care and I think democracy is dead, dictatorship is very much alive in Daventry and the residents just don't get heard! just billed in the form of excessive council tax bills. It looks very much as if the councillors here are looking after their own interests and ignoring the masses. we have rubbish roads, potholes & congestion in town.

Is this the most ignorant, selfish council in the uk? Or do you know different?
