United Kingdom Politics Having secured a third term, we will fulfil our promise to renew our country and take Britain forward to a better future not back to a failed Tory past. Our continuing success depends on our continuing to pursue a new Labour agenda as a modern progressive party. We will focus on three crucial areas: the economy, modernising public services, tackling crime and asylum; building on what we have achieved to make Britain better since coming to office in 1997

Fuel Tax & congestion

the tax you pay on petrol is 53.65 pence per litre for conventional unleaded petrol, plus vat! But the government can't reduce the cost of fuel because it's down to the price of oil "My Arse!" Americans pay $4 per gallon £2.00 approx 40p per litre and they moan about it! If they had prices like ours they'd be at war in the middle east!

If it's to try to reduce traffic it just aint working, if there was any hint of it working we'd all be driving smart cars by now, Most of us would have to have our arms and legs amputated to get us out of our cars! As far as I can see the way forward is to put more people into fewer cars, encourage companies to run car pools.

allow cars with more than 3 people to use bus lanes, add car pool lanes, larger businesses could provide mini busses for their workforce in exchange for tax relief.

any more suggestions?
