United Kingdom Politics Having secured a third term, we will fulfil our promise to renew our country and take Britain forward to a better future not back to a failed Tory past. Our continuing success depends on our continuing to pursue a new Labour agenda as a modern progressive party. Now there are a lot of articles in our press where falling UK GDP and slowing down of our economy is concerned only with rather unthinking Brown’s policy in financial sphere, which is greatly oriented to US financial needs. But it is not quite true to fact. Certainly our orientation to US policy should not be so unreserved. And in this context all problems, resulted, for instance, during BP activities in Russia are directly related with current distortions of Brown’s policy in the direction of our plenary support of US spread in the world. But it brings the question: is it really fruitful for London always to support our overseas allies? Maybe, it is time for our authorities to grow away from our traditionally pragmatic policy…
