| Enoch Powell Was Enoch Powell essentially correct when he warned against mass immigration?
I'm of the opinion that he was....this has NOTHING to do with skin colour, for those who might misinterpret what I'm meaning.
The majority of the immigrants arriving in Britain are white, as we know, Pole's, Lithuanian's etc.
Enoch Powell decades ago, warned against mass immigration being allowed, and of course he was cracked about the head with a lead cricket bat, not only by the media but by other politicians.
What Powell warned against has now happened, and as the Labour government have obviously willingly opened the floodgates, I can see this astonishing number of 400,000 immigrants piling into Britain continuing for some time.
I'm all for allowing reasonable immigration, a cap at say, 100,000 a year being permitted to live in Britain....but there NEEDS to be a cap, because this wild and free form immigration that's been happening these past few years has now totally got out of hand.
We have stories of Pole's, primarily male, moving to Britain JUST to avoid being drafted into the Polish Armed Forces....should we be allowing this? I don't think we should.
Then we have tens of thousands of these new immigrants claiming welfare benefits and being given assistance with housing benefits AND being put straight to the top of the housing lists....when there's many a family who are ACTUALLY British who've been on those lists for years.
Sooner rather than later, if this out of control mass immigration is allowed to continue, then yes, there's going to more immigrants than citizens, we already know, thanks to the Labour government ADMITTING it, that a majority of the new jobs that have been created over the past few years, have now been given to Polish and Lithuanian immigrants....shouldn't we be giving these new jobs to young British people?
Why do we have all of our priorities wrong on this?
So yes, in essence, I think that Enoch Powell was correct when he warned against allowing mass immigration.
