| BALANCE OF PAYMENTS At last the first time in many years i have at last heard the mention of the balance of payments deficit. It would seem that since we joined the common market no one has mentioned the balance of payments in any european country. Although we hear of the USA's deficit. The reason that it is not mentioned any more is because we are in trouble. We are buying more than we are selling and any business man can tell you that leads to bankruptcy. Hold on we are then told that there is a hidden saviour an invisible income due to the banking industry. Hold on is this the same competent industry that lost our pension money and have given mortgages to bankrupts. Are they the same banks that lost billions in the 1980's lending money to 3rd world countries and again in the latter 1980's/early 90's on the same mortgage mistake. I think that it is. IS THERE NO HOPE. I am going to Bingo or play the Lottery or just go to the Pub. |
