United Kingdom Politics Having secured a third term, we will fulfil our promise to renew our country and take Britain forward to a better future not back to a failed Tory past. Our continuing success depends on our continuing to pursue a new Labour agenda as a modern progressive party. We will focus on three crucial areas: the economy, modernising public services, tackling crime and asylum; building on what we have achieved to make Britain better since coming to office in 1997

Voice in the Heathrow T5 wilderness

Sorry for flooding on your forum but… Please, someone help me get out of this Hell! I’ve been to London to covenant with one British transport company on behalf of Atlantic Utility Trailer, Inc. New Jersey. Now I feel myself Victor Navorski from The Terminal because I’ve been here in the Heathrow Terminal 5 for almost 5 days. First they told me that I couldn’t take my hand baggage into cabin. So I had to send valuable documents as heavy luggage. Then my flight was delayed. After 5 hours of waiting it turned out that my airplane isn’t going anywhere at all. And up till now they can’t find my luggage. And it is matter of life and death for me because company would lay pretty fine on me. But that’s not all. While couple of officers pretended to looking for my luggage some men came to me and asked for my… fingerprints without any arraignments. As if I were a criminal! I’ve never been such humiliated ever before. Not mentioning quite a sum I had to spend for hotel and restaurant. And those haughty Britons dare to call us not quite ideal democracy. But it is norm for them to call Britain ‘Surveillance Society’. In fact this is society of spies where cameras are watching you even in men’s room. At the same time there is complete chaos in their government. They can’t even keep secret personal data of bank customers and London seemed to me one big terrorist cluster where police exists just for show. The same mess is in ‘flagship of what the UK can do’ Terminal 5. It is really the best display of outrage going on here. P.S.:I suspect now they’ll arrest me for breach of state confidence that all their officials starting with Ministry are corrupted losers good for nothing. So farewell pals. Still hoping for being rescued. Sincerely yours, Josh Freeman.
