    One World Government

Maybe it's because it's a major change and I don't like changes, but I don't find any benefits to having a one-world government. It appears to be inevitable, though, so just what would the benefits be to individual citizens?

It would be as slow the UN but would more redistribute wealth and services equally around the world due to votes and numbers of people. It would improve the poorest countries and stop buiznesses expoilting week countries due to govermental law. So itwould help the majority of people in the planet.

I seriously doubt it will happen, we can barely work together now within NATO, so how's a world Government based on the UN going to handle anything?

Screw that! I don't much care for being controlled by Washington, much less Brussels or Beijing. Somebody tries pushing that through, I may be voting from the rooftops.

Absolutely nothing as far as the average person in the street is concerned, however I suspect that they'd find themselves and their countries being overwhelmed with 'one size fits all' legislation which took little account of their individuality or culture, which benefited no-one but those politicians at the very top of the tree. This whole 'One World Government' concept is completely screwy as far as I'm concerned; here the EU is bad enough, and the sooner we can get out of that the better.

    Re: One World Government

I believe England is a test bed for one world Governance if you look at it close enough there are many instance such as multiculturalism, the increase in individual rights, the increase in Individualism, dependence on the state, a world with no borders, the centralization of industry the corrupt banking system, corrupt MP,s even corrupt Laws,The abolition of the House of Lords, their is the fact that our laws are implemented in Brussels and that this government is just a Council of Europe, Eventually it will break down and and we will be given an opportunity for change using the break down of this present system as the excuse to implement closer ties with Europe and stage one of global governance will be complete.

The implementation of Global LAW IE:Human rights, and equality laws are just the start some people think Global governance is inevitable but it,s not as it faults will come to the fore and collapse As all other attempts to implement global dominance have failed,

Whilst I quite agree with you that this (the EU) will eventually break down - you can only keep on trying to force the square pegs that are the individual countries in Europe into the round hole that's the EU - unless I'm misunderstanding what you're saying, I can't see how this will lead to closer ties with Europe. I would have thought that the opposite would result; we'd regain our political and cultural independence and be free to renegotiate whatever trade and travel deals we wanted with the remaining EU countries. After all, they need our goods and services far more than we need theirs.

People often try to draw parallels between the EU and the USA, but I think that's fallacious. The USA has developed over several hundred years with people from all over the world coming together as one country, whilst the EU is an artificial construct made by politically forcing disparate countries with millennia of unique cultures together. Chalk and cheese.
