Have we not learned anything over the numerous wars, we proud Americans have fought? The brilliant military minds developing our strategies for this war in Iraq have clearly shown success...

During the first Gulf War, we bombed Iraq for 36 days straight, it was very successful, and ended up being one of the shortest wars we have been involved in. Yet, with our enormous pride, we still believe that foot soldiers are the way to go! Are we afraid of too many innocent people dying? Come on, we have lost more of our troops than they would have lost in citizen count had the procedure been repeated. Why risk our loved ones lives on a strategy that has been superseded by a more appropriate one.

I am not against the war in any way, I just believe that it should have been handled differently. We have an excess amount of weapons capable of keeping our men and women out of harms way, but we still chose not to take advantage of this option, causing our troops to be put in danger.

Do we enjoy feeling other nations pity us because of our loss of life? So that it makes it alright to allow our people to die, for emotional benefits? I think it's absurd.
