| British people remains weaponless before the growing terrorist threat now. I think you stay in the know that London’s resident Samina Malik has become the first British citizen who has been found guilty in accordance with the Act of Terrorism Prevention under the date of 2000 in the Old Bailey. The press notes that the 23-year-old girl has been unemployed and possessed various al-Qaida terror training manuals and guidebooks on her PC, including instructions on how to operate sophisticated firearms and explosives. Here is some more information about this case. During the trial, before which she appeared on November 17th, she made a statement. Malik said that she had close contacts with terrorist groups through Internet, because…she was a secret agent of British special services! My conscience! It turns out that simply Byzantine complexity prevails in our British special services. And as a result of lack of interaction between MI-5 and MI-6 their officers seize own agents instead of real terrorists… Well, certainly MI-6 has had to give away an opportunity to recognize S. Malik as own insider in order not to look foolish. Meanwhile it seems to me that this case is rather legal result of deficiency of success in detection of real crimes in UK. It must be admitted that in these conditions our special services are tangled in window dressing. It means that in reality British people remains weaponless before the growing terrorist threat now. |
