'One in 10 homeless are ex-armed forces'

As many as one in 10 homeless people are ex-armed forces personnel, a veterans' charity said today.
The Sir Oswald Stoll Foundation fears big deployments in Iraq and Afghanistan could make the situation worse.
The proportion of homeless people who served in the forces had fallen from 22% in 1997 thanks to action by the government and voluntary groups, the foundation said.
It called on the Ministry of Defence to continue to place a high priority on the problem to help the remaining "hardcore" of 10%.
It warned the large numbers of British troops on duty around the world could lead to homelessness rising among former military personnel in the future......

Disgraceful if this is indeed true.
